About the Tour

The Geothermal Exhibition is an ideal destination for school groups exploring topics like renewable energy, sustainability, carbon capture (CCS), and geothermal science.

Our Science Communicators are experienced educators who have worked with students from kindergarten to university level.

Visits include a 20–25 minute presentation, introducing Iceland’s geothermal landscape, energy production and distribution, and the Carbfix carbon storage project.

Each visit can be tailored to fit the class’s specific learning goals — we encourage teachers to share topics of study in advance.

After the presentation, students are invited to explore the rest of the exhibition independently.
