These Terms & Conditions apply to all visitors of the Geothermal Exhibition and to anyone purchasing tickets, tours, or related services through our website, in person, or via our partners.


By accessing the exhibition or making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Tickets & Bookings
  • All bookings are subject to availability.

  • Online tickets are valid for any time on the booked date unless confirmed with our team. Guided tours must be rescheduled via email.

  • All guided tours must be booked and confirmed with our team via email.

  • A minimum price applies for groups smaller than the published minimum group size.

  • Changes or cancellations may be made by contacting us directly at syning@or.is.

  • All individual bookings have a 24-hour cancellation policy; group bookings have a 48-hour cancellation policy.

Pricing & Payment
  • All prices are listed in Icelandic króna (ISK) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

  • Payments must be completed before participation in any tour or service.

  • We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time; confirmed bookings will not be affected.

Safety & Conduct
  • Visitors must follow all posted signs and instructions from staff.

  • Certain tours (such as Carbfix Tours) require safety equipment (provided by the exhibition), and is not suitable for visitors under the age of 16.

  • Open-toe shoes and high heels are not permitted on outdoor or operational site tours.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove visitors who behave in a disruptive or unsafe manner.

Accessibility

The Geothermal Exhibition is wheelchair accessible, and audio guides are available in both audio and text formats.


If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we can assist you.

Changes & Cancellations (By Us)

Occasionally, tours may be modified, postponed, or cancelled due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Operational safety requirements

  • Technical issues within the power plant or injection area

If we must cancel a booking, visitors will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

Liability
  • The Geothermal Exhibition, ON Power, and Reykjavík Energy are not liable for personal items lost, damaged, or left unattended during your visit.

  • Participation in outdoor tours is at your own risk; appropriate clothing is strongly recommended.

  • Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights under Icelandic law.

Photography & Media
  • Visitors are welcome to take personal photos unless otherwise indicated.

  • Commercial photography or filming requires written permission.

Privacy & Data Protection

Visitor data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and store information.
By booking or contacting us, you consent to the processing of your information as described there.
